How to Use mbed with Python Offline?

I found it rather intresting that there was actually an online Python compiler for mbed micro controllers, and it did seem to work (through im not too sure about the extent of all working features). It can be found here : http://pymbed.appspot.com/

My question is, and this can also apply to the C mbed compiler found on the offical website, how would i be able to retrieve an offline version of these services (to use in an offline IDE) ?

btw, could someone also mind explaining how the controller would also be able to work with python?
