MAX6837VXSD0 for low-voltage protection

Hey folks,

I’m working on a small mbed IoT project that runs off a Li-ion battery. I found this chip — the MAX6837VXSD0, which is supposed to help prevent weird resets when the voltage drops. From what I read, it monitors the supply voltage and triggers a reset if it dips too low. Sounds good on paper, but I’m not sure if it’s overkill for a 3.3V setup. Has anyone here used it before?

Does it really help with brownouts or random resets when sensors pull a lot of current? Just trying to make my node a bit more stable before I send it out in the field. Any advice or real-world feedback would be awesome.
