Reference Mechanical design question

Dear Mbed,

I’m working on a project that has many similarities with your reference design.
I had a question regarding the battery charging pins and the enclosing plastic.
What type exactly are those pins? I could not find them in the BOM file.
Can you please provide more information? Are those press fit into the housing?

Hi Shay,

The charging pins are custom made - turned from copper then gold plated. You can see the specifications in the design files of the mechanical resources. They are soldered onto the base PCBs and then the base PCBs are low pressure injection molded with a plastic surround that goes around the charge pins. This PCB with overmold is then glued into the watch backplate.
