Why remove LPC4088 from the 6.xxx Library therefore LPC1768 is still there?

all is in the title !

I still own LPC4088, because it is very efficient, but it begin very complex considering MbedStudio to program them, I have to do a lot of work to tranlsate the old libraries to the new one…

any answer about it ?

Hello,

the responsibility for what will be or won’t be supported was moved to vendors. In the tree of Development boards | Mbed is visible two different vendor types - Board vendor and Target vendor.

Both boards were made by Embedded Artist company (a Mbed Partner) and it is based on NXP chip LPC4088.
EA LPC4088 QuickStart Board | Mbed
EA LPC4088 Display Module | Mbed

So the answer is probably easy, the vendor of this board did not wanted to make it update to Mbed OS6.

I would accept a PR on Mbed CE to re-add this target! If you start by making one that copies over the files from Mbed 5, I can help you debug from there.

I work with mbed OS 5.12.4 with Lpc4088.

But it is very difficult to get libraries to work with this platform.

For my sample, ethernet library is very difficult to translate from the oldest ones…

So from, this is the reason I would like to get the Lpc4088 still get in V6 in mbed.

Just to be on. Coding with the libraries with the good words, these are actual.
