I would like to evaluate the Mbed OS particularly for Microsemi Polarfire Cortex-M1 microprocessor and wondering if the Mbed download on GitHub supports this architecture/processor? I do not see it listed in the targets.

if it is not in the list of mbed enabled boards then it is unlikely to be supported yet. You can of course have a go at this yourself. Please take a read of our porting guide here : https://os.mbed.com/docs/mbed-os/v6.2/porting/index.html
