Which boards will `mbed-tools detect` work for?

Running the command fails to detect my Nucleo STM32F446RE board.

Is this command only for Mbed specific boards? Or should it detect all supported boards?

Hello,

I remember it detects all supported boards but the detect command must be probably called in a folder where a mbed-os already exists.
Else try to update ST-Link firmware.
