DAPLink window will *not* stay away

I love the DAPLink method of burning code. Easiest method I’ve seen in 45 years in the biz.

However, it keeps popping up like a bad penny. I minimize it, but it returns even worse than zombies in a bad B-flick.

The biggest pain is: when it returns, it shift focus, which grabs what I’m typing, which is a right pain and breaks my concentration. That means I need to stop, grab the mouse, regain focus, then keep typing.

I am happy to minimize it, or even kill it off, then resurrect it from the Stygian depths I had banished it to.

Hi,

can you give more details about what is happening? What board are you using, what platform (Windows, MAC, Linux) etc? When you plug your board in it should just enumerate as a USB device that you can then drag and drop your binary to…

Windows 10
PSoC 6 WIFI-BT Pioneer kit

The drag and drop works - not the point.

When I minimize, cover, or close the DAPLink E: window, it popups again within 10…15 minutes.
(It just happened as I was typing this.)

The mode switch is also important.
LED2 has to be blinking in order for the E: window to popup.
If LED2 is not blinking, E: is closed

You could have a read here DAPLink bootloader update | Mbed to see if there is anything that may help…As this was written a few years ago there probably won’t be an updated binary for your board but some of the other points may still be relevant.

Thanks for the reply.
Sadly, it does not address the DAPLink window keep popping up.

I am using the PSoC 6 WIFI-BT Pioneer Kit
Try it.
I have both USB cables plugged in

Hello,

Maybe your problem relates to this one. Try to uninstall the Mbed driver and then install the WebUSB driver.
