Driver installation for STM32F4Discovery board

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to connect for the first time my STM32F4Discovery board with my PC.
However I have a big problem: I have downloaded the driver from this path STSW-LINK009 - ST-LINK, ST-LINK/V2, ST-LINK/V2-1, STLINK-V3 USB driver signed for Windows7, Windows8, Windows10 - STMicroelectronics , I have launched the installation of dpinst_amd64 but I don’t find my board in the device manager.

If i try to debug there is no ST link detected.
If I connect the board with the PC all the led blink but there is no ST LINK detection…

Could you help me ?

Thank you

Hello,

ST-link must be visible in the Device manager under COM ports section (VCP) and USB devices section (Debug probe), when the driver is already installed and the device is properly connected. If the driver is not properly installed, then must be visible as an unknow device. So, if the driver is installed and the device is not visible, then maybe try to change your USB cable, maybe communication wires are broken.
