Glowing LD5 (over current) in STM32F767 Nucleo-144

Hello,

I am using the STM32F767 Nucleo-144 board for ADC and DAC interfacing. Suddenly the LD5 started glowing in the microcontroller. Because of this, I cannot load the program in the memory and I am getting the error – ‘ Failed – File too large ’. PFA the picture of the board.

I tried resetting the board using the reset (B2) and tried updating the firmware using the STM32 ST-Link Utility software. However, I am still getting the same error. Is there any workaround to fix this issue? Please advise.

Thanks and Regards,
Soumava

Hello,

it seems like you have a short-circuit, the LD5 is ST-LINK/V2-1 red LED
Power over-current alarm

Does this mean that the MCU is completely dead or is there any way to fix the issue?

Hi

You can try to make a full chip erase with ST cube programmer tool: mbed-os/targets/TARGET_STM at master · ARMmbed/mbed-os · GitHub
