Uploading to Nucleo L432KC fails on Win10

I see my brand new, out-of-thebox Nucleo L432KC in explorer as a D: drive with files mbed.htm and details.txt. I installed the STLink driver from here: https://my.st.com/content/my_st_com/en/products/development-tools/software-development-tools/stm32-software-development-tools/stm32-utilities/stsw-link009.html#get-software

But when I drag .bin files onto my D: drive, I do not see LD1 flashing alternately green and orange like my Nucleo STM743H7Z2. The file names simply appear in the D: directory. And of course my applications, e.g. Blinky, don’t run. It seems like Windows is caching the files or something?! BTW, the same thing happens in my Arduino environment. Arduino says it copies them, but they don’t run, only show up in the filesystem.

Also there are no files such as “fail.txt” that I’ve seen when things go wrong doing other work on Nucleos.

Any advice?

Thank you, Noah

Hi Noah,

I would advise you to upgrade the interface firmware first, please refer here.
